The Mum­my­Mug is a styl­ish coffee/tea mug with a lip-openable lid. Sim­ply fill the mug with your favorite hot bev­er­age, secure the screw-on lid and start sip­ping. By lightly press­ing your top lip against the top layer of the lid at any point around the rim of the mug, you release the drink­ing mech­a­nism. The lid auto­mat­i­cally closes up after every sip, ensur­ing that the Mum­my­Mug remains securely closed if acci­den­tally knocked over.

Styl­ish.

We did not want a ther­mos on our kitchen table. We also did not want a break­able ceramic mug. Nor did we want a light –weight plas­tic ‘camp­ing’ mug.
And we did not com­pro­mise: The Mum­my­Mug will be man­u­fac­tured from a mineral-filled mate­r­ial that gives the look-and-feel of ceram­ics while it does not shat­ter if the Mum­my­Mug falls on the kitchen floor.

Swedish.

The Mum­my­Mug was invented by Swedish mother called Cecilia. While on mater­nity leave a few years ago, she, as any par­ent, instinc­tively felt that she of course did not want to expose her baby to the risk of scalds. But nei­ther did she want to refrain from hav­ing her cof­fee. She thought: why choose? The idea for the Mum­my­Mug was born then and there.That is why the Mum­my­Mug has the pure lines of a clean, Scan­di­na­vian design.

Mum­my­Mug was one of the final­ists in the pres­ti­geous Inno­va­tion Award com­pe­ti­tion at Kind&Jugend in Cologne in 2009. Kind&Jugend is the world’s largest trade fair for juve­nile prod­ucts and draws the par­tic­i­pa­tion of over 800 man­u­fac­tur­ers and 18,000 vis­i­tors every year. It was a true honor to stand among the top 5 inno­va­tions in the final, cat­e­gory ‘World of Baby Safety’.
